Proctor is located on the west shore of Flathead Lake in the Flathead National Forest. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound in the area. The town was founded in 1910 and is named after the first postmaster, Clarence Proctor.Proctor is located in north western area of Montana, on MT Highway 28 on the west shore of Flathead Lake.
