Sheridan Montana

Located in: Gold West Country

Sheridan is situated north of Virginia City and Nevada City in the Ruby Valley, attracted veterans of the Civil War to the area's gold mines. The town was named after General Phillip Sheridan, a distinguished Union cavalry leader.

Sheridan is located in southwestern Montana, south of Butte on MT Highway 287.
