The Bar Gulch Cabin is a rustic cabin with no electricity or running water. The cabin and outdoor toilets are accessible to persons with mobility impairments. Bar Gulch trail 241 begins near the cabin, and other trails and forest roads are nearby for hiking and mountain biking. It has a 6 person capacity and is accessible by cross-country skis or snowmobile in winter.

Directions: Travel east from Townsend on US Highway 12 approximately 2 miles, then north on State Highway 284 approximately 25 miles to Magpie Gulch Road 425, then north approximately 4 miles to Bar Gulch. The cabin is located 1/8 mile up Bar Gulch and is visible from Road 425.
