WTR Outfitters is located in the heart of the Blackfoot River Valley right at the base of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. We were established in 1937 and are Montana's oldest, continually operating wilderness outfitting business.

We offer wilderness educational summer pack trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. You will ride mountain wise horses (no riding experience necessary) into valleys, over high mountain passes, into meadows and along rivers. We attempt to schedule a day or two to be near a good fishing river or lake. You will learn horsemanship and be spellbound by the many tales that Karen, Jack and the Crew will tell around the campfire at night. There will be opportunity to see a variety of wildlife and flowers and to experience the quietness of the wilderness. Contact us about our special nature observation trips for more information.

Our fall hunting trips are located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. We offer guided and semi-guided hunts for elk, deer, black bear, goat and moose. Guided camp success rate is four times the State average. Non-resident hunting license deadline is March 15 each year. Call Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks at 406-444-2950 for application. Guarantee your licenses by booking with a licensed Montana outfitter.

Directions: WTR Outfitters, LLC is 65 miles northeast of Missoula off State Highway 200; 5 miles east of Ovando. Watch for sign off Highway 200. Turn north, proceed about 6 miles on a county maintained gravel road following the WTR Outfitter signs. WTR Outfitters is located just 1 mile north of the 'T' junction after crossing the creek. Watch for a sign on the left.
