Alder Creek Trail (209) goes up to the Sapphire Divide. It gives you views of the roadless area in Rock Creek and the Bitterroot Valley and the mountain range on the west side.

Length: 7.0 miles.Trail Begins: Rock Creek Road 102 near Bitterroot Flat Campground.Trail End: Bitterroot Divide

Directions: Take Rock Creek Road 23 miles south of I-90. Park at the Bitterroot Flat Campground. The trailhead is across the creek. You'll have to wade, be careful during high water.
