Howard Lake Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 4100 feet, the campground has 9 campsites. The basic facilities including restrooms and drinking water are provided. Fishing, swimming, and boating may be enjoyed; there is a boat launch. Scenic trails are provided for hiking. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on leashes. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 20 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. You will be asked to pay a small fee for the use of this campground.

Directions: From Libby, travel 13 miles south on US Highway 2 and turn onto Libby Creek Road 231. Follow this road for 14 miles to the campground sign. Stay on the main road and turn left at each fork, crossing Lake Creek near its mouth. The middle and upper reaches are accessible from the Lake Creek Campground and Geiger Lakes Trail 656.
