After 40 years of married life, Lynn fondly refers to Julie as 'THE featured attraction' of their Hospitality House'and after one taste of her homemade cinnamon rolls, you'll agree! She makes sure her guests have plenty of nutritious and good food including vegetables from her garden and freshly baked breads, which are among her specialties. Native Montanans, these history buffs love to share their knowledge of Lewis and Clark, the Bozeman Trail (they can show you where it crosses the county), old Sweet Grass County cemeteries and antique shops and more.

Plus, Julie is an avid quilter and she works cooperatively with the other Montana Bunkhouses' so you can retreat to kinder and gentler times and spend the day guilt-free with Julie while your family joins up with one of the working ranch families to experience the tradition of a working ranch vacation.

Lynn is a trader of antique machinery and if you are interested, you might be able to go to a farm auction or tinker with him in his mechanical shop and 'get greasy' learning some basic mechanics. A John Deere enthusiast would be happy here looking over Lynn's 'stuff' (no junk here!) and seeing the history of agriculture evident in old working equipment.

Evenings often find the Sanders in their Music Room, complete with sound mixer and microphones. Lynn plays guitar and Julie plays piano and they invite you to bring your own instrument (or borrow one of theirs) and play along with them.

The Sanders' large two-story 1923 Craftsman style home was built for a senator by a builder who's family name is now prominent in the Montana legislature. In the early days, rural teachers boarded in the three upstairs bedrooms and they would walk each day to the rural schoolhouse to teach classes. Today guests enjoy these Sanders House bedrooms in the main house (two queen and one double with designated bathroom). There is also a Montana Bunkhouse built of hand-hewn logs on the premises with a bedroom (queen sized bed and porta-crib), bathroom, kitchenette and small living room.

We encourage you to book early as regulars may compete with you for preferred dates!

Stay in a guest room at the Sanders Craftsman Home or book their bunkhouse for your ranch stay. Choose from a variety of ranch activities. Adult rates vary from $150 to $200 per person per day according to seasonal rates. Family rates apply. Let Julie be your guide on a half day of shopping at the antique stores in the area. ($50 fee applies unless you are a guest of the Sanders.) All day with Julie includes lunch at the Grand and a visit to the Crazy Mountain Museum ($100 fee applies unless you are a guest of the Sanders.)
