The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana was established in 1998 to discover and memorialize the history and culture of the Flathead Indian Reservation and early Montana. Long-term exhibits include weaponry (clubs, bows and arrows, guns), spurs and saddlery, a 'grizzly set,' a vast collection of Native American beadwork, life-size dioramas of wild animals and of an Indian camp. An old cabin, and wagons and buggies dot the museum grounds.

Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana will open it's spring season with a temporary 'On Loan' exhibit of 'Documenting the Corps of Discovery' from the Montana Historical Society. This premiere exhibit will run from April 7th through May 16th.

Also on loan is a collection of Native American Powwow photographs by Chris Roberts. The Museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm during April and May and from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm 7 days a week, June - October.

Directions: Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana is located near the Ninepipes Bird Refuge and the National Bison Range, six miles south of Ronan on US Highway 93. Halfway between Missoula and Kalispell.
