Proprietors Roy and Elena McCarty wish to welcome you to their Eighteenth Century Victorian home, amidst the vast prairies and rolling mountains of the spectacular Montana countryside. You'll enjoy a magnificent view of roaming longhorn cattle, horses, and indigenous wildlife from each of its charming and comfortable old-world rooms; fourteen in all, each is uniquely decorated with country accent. There are four immaculate bathrooms which are brightly decorated, roomy and meticulously maintained. All of the bathrooms have been refurbished to include showers, but we have retained the old ball and claw foot tubs for you to enjoy a warm luxurious soak. All meals are served in our spacious dinning room featuring chairs from the turn of the century where they once adorned a luxurious railroad dinning car. Today, they still provide the old-world atmosphere and comfort while you enjoy a full, home-cooked, country-style breakfast. Your will ride on the aroma of pipping hot coffee, sizzling bacon, and freshly baked bread or biscuits that will whisk you back to a time when things were simple and to a place that will remind you of Grandma's house. Foxwood Inn is nestled in the heart of the Smith River Valley, halfway between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. The area offers an abundance of outdoor activity such as hiking, hunting, bird watching, camping, golfing fishing, horse-back riding, snowmobiling, and skiing all within minutes of the Foxwood Inn. In addition to all of this natural wonderment is a hot springs which is open to the public. It has been compared to the famous hot springs of Baden Germany. We look forward to your stay with us. We know you'll enjoy the Foxwood Inn, where the folks are friendly and the sunsets are second to none. Pets and smoking are allowed outside.
