Nestled in the heart of the valley at the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers, lies the friendly, quiet town of Fairview. As Montana's eastern-most town it has the unique feature of two states meeting on 'Interstate Avenue' more commonly known to residents as 'State Street'. Part of the town lies in North Dakota, while the majority is in Montana

Fairview is the Sugar Beet capital of both Montana and North Dakota with a large part of its irrigated farm land devoted to the growing of sugar beets.

The outdoors man can take part in hunting the numerous species of wildlife in the area. Anglers may fish at the confluence. Some of the best paddle fishing is done from Sundheim Park just northeast of town. Many fine agates can be found when rock hounds test their talents along the rivers.
