Longest Dam Race |  |
Run or walk across the top of Montana's Historic Fort Peck Dam. There will be 10K and 5K runs, and a 5K and 1-mile walk. Tee-shirts, free beverage and fruit are provided at completion of event. This is an event for the serious runners and recreational walkers. The whole family is welcome. Make this your reason for visiting Eastern Montana and Fort Peck Lake.
Run or walk across the largest hydraulically earth filled dam in the world.
The 10K course rises in elevation from low point at the starting line some 350 feet over a distance of about 2 miles.
The 5K is flat. Both distance finish running downhill from the top of the dam on a gravel road to a level finish. The running surface is mixed equally between gravel or dirt and asphalt.
1 mile is all level through beautiful Kiwanis Park around the kids fishing ponds. A great event for all!
Directions: Longest Dam Run registration is at Kiwanis Park, which is located near Fort Peck Lake, follow the signs.
