Essex's Labor Day celebration is highlighted by the 11th Annual Show and Shine Car Show. There is a poker run on Sunday, voting for your favorite car, a barbecue and a dance. Two live bands. Winner of show goes on next year's t-shirt.

Directions: 11th Annual Show and Shine Car Show is held at Stanton Creek Lodge, 16 miles east of West Glacier on Highway 2 at mile marker 70.
