Virginia City Horseback Poker Ride, sponsored by the Virginia City Chamber of Commerce, is one of the biggest events of Historic Virginia City's opening season and is held annually. Many riders register and ride a marked trail for 10 to 13 miles at a leisurely pace. Three stops are held on the trail with refreshments given as part of the registration. Five cards are drawn during the event: one at the Bale of Hay Saloon, three on the trail and a final card back at the Bale of Hay Saloon. Three top hands win cash prizes (1st) is $100.00. All riders are in drawings for door prizes, donated by local and area merchants. Come and join the fun. We hope to see you there.

Directions: Virginia City Horseback Poker Ride begins in Virginia City. Parking at end of town near Virginia City Depot or in Main Street parking lot in middle of town.
