Saco Fun Days is an annual event on Labor Day weekend, sponsored by the Saco Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. It was started in 1963 by early members of the Chamber as a way to promote Saco and the surrounding area.
Fun Day begins on Friday night with a pot luck pork BBQ with meat produced in Montana. Music and dancing are provided by the local taverns. Saturday begins with a parade at 11:00am, followed by button prize drawing and free beef BBQ with meat produced by Montana cattlemen. There is also an art and craft show, pie social, kids games, demolition derby, foods, music and dances. Sunday has a softball tournament and other games.
Since 1988, an All School Reunion has been held every 5 years. All individuals who have attended and/or taught at Saco Public Schools are invited to attend. The graduating classes have entered floats in the parade.
