The Annual Snow Rodeo contains hilarious events for the whole family on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. These are basic rodeo events but the contestants are on skis! Spectators and contestants welcome. Bareback bronc ride down the mountain on an inner tube horse on skis. Rope a wooden goat while traveling down a hill. Be a horse at the chuckwagon race. A fun time on skis and snowshoes. Bribe the judges to get better scores and rope the rodeo clown. Yeehaw! Great fun for children and adults. Special room rates available.
Saturday, March 19, 2005 events include 10:00am - Noon registration; 1:00pm, Snow Rodeo events start. 8:00pm is the bonfire, marshmallow roast and prizes will be awarded to all around male and female.
Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 10:00am is the Scavenger Easter Egg Hunt for all Snow Rodeo participants; prizes.
Directions: Annual Snow Rodeo and Spring Ski Race will be held at the ski area at the Izaak Walton Inn, which is located on the southern tip of Glacier National Park in between East Glacier and West Glacier off Highway 2 in Essex.
