This year marks the first time in Whitefish history that the Chili Cook-Off portion of Fiesta Days will be an International Chili Society sanctioned event. A one day Mexican Fiesta themed celebration topped off with a Dessert Bake-Off at the Mountain Mall on May 21, 2005.
Fiesta Days features two major events: The Chili Cook-Off and the Desert Bake-Off.
Two divisions comprise the Chili Cook-Off: ICS (International Chili Society) and People's Choice. Contestants in the ICS division will be charged an entry fee of $30.00 for ICS members and $72.00 for non members (NOTE: the $72.00 fee includes membership). Commercial and amateur chili cooks will comprise the People's Choice division. Cash prizes to be won in both.
At Noon, after the judges have decided on the best chili in town, the public will be invited to purchase chili cups for $3.50 each to taste the savory delights.
At 3:00pm, for an additional $2.00, soothe those ignited taste buds with sumptuous desserts at the Dessert Bake-Off at the Mountain Mall. Prizes to be won.
Directions: Fiesta Days will be held in Whitefish. Chili Cook-Off takes place in downtown Whitefish. Dessert Bake-Off takes place at the Mountain Mall.
