Christmas Stroll |
The annual Uptown Christmas Stroll is a free event uptown in Butte to kick-off the Holiday shopping season. The event features a parade with high school and college marching bands, the arrival of Santa Claus, hay rides in horse drawn carriages, art and craft exhibit (indoors), music and vendors on the street and in the fabulous Motherlode Theatre and a petting zoo. The stroll takes place in the center of the uptown business district, including the county courthouse, antique stores, bars, casinos and restaurants.
Directions: Christmas Stroll will be held in historic uptown Butte through the main streets of the central business district. Parade starts at the courthouse on West Granite, travels south on Main Street, west on Broadway, down Montana to Park Street over to Wyoming; the same area covered by the stroll. Event includes hayride,carolers, and high school marching bands. Take the Montana Street highway exit 126 and head north.
