The Governor's Cup, Montana's premier road running event geared toward both serious runners and families, includes the ghost town marathon and marathon relay, half-marathon, 10K, and 5K races. About 6,500 entries are expected. A pre-race dinner will be on Friday and then music, dancing, art, food and outdoor craft show at the finish line. The marathon starts at Marysville and all finish lines end on Park Avenue. Registration for the Governor's Cup can be picked up at Race Headquarters in Helena at 340 North Last Chance Gulch, beginning April 25,2005 from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
