Olympic style sports festival for Montanans. Over 12,000 athletes of all ages and abilities participate. Weekend highlights include the Opening Ceremonies, where the torch lighting is done by an Olympic great. There are thirty three sports to choose from i.e.: Archery, arm-wrestling, badminton, basketball, billiards, bowling, canoe/kayak, cycling, dance sports, disc golf, electronic darts, equestrian, fencing, golf, figure skating, fitness walk, handball, ice hockey, karate, pickle ball, racquetball, road race, shooting, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tae-kwan-do/judo, tennis, track and field, triathlon, volleyball and wrestling.

The Big Sky State Games have grown since the inaugural year in 1986 when 3,376 athletes participated in 12 sports. With 12,000 athletes now competing in the games, Montana's Games are the largest State Games per capita in the Nation.

The Games are a member of the National Congress of State Games and recognized by the United States Olympic Committee.

Directions: Finals events will be held throughout Billings and Yellowstone County at over 50 venues.
