Billings.

a dynamic business environment in the heart of Montana's Big Sky Country. Billings is the regional financial energy, transportation, retail and wholesale trade, and medical center of our four-state area.

High-tech, manufacturing and distributing companies find Billings welcomes new business with skilled labor, low energy rates, local investors, abundant water and ample room for expansion.

National firms see Billings geographically at the center of the Denver-Calgary/Seattle-Minneapolis business and sales hub, creating an attractive location for regional offices.

Billings is accessible. Excellent air travel provides nonstop flights direct to Denver, Salt Lake City and Minneapolis.

Nestled in the fertile valley of the Yellowstone and framed on three sides by scenic mountain ranges, Billings is a blend of plains and mountain geographies. The Rimrocks, 300 to 500 foot high sandstone cliffs, form a landmark border to the north and east, and the Yellowstone River flows serenely past the city's southern edge.

Quiet suburbs, downtown apartments, modern golf course condominiums and ranch homes with acreage are all available within minutes of your office.

Cosmopolitan. Billings is a new city. Barely 100 years old, it is a collection of pioneers from across the country and world who have found opportunity and prosperity. They bring with them a love of art, drama, dance and music, and a zest for exploring the great plains and Rockies.

Today, people still value the good things to be found here: pure water, clean air, scenic loveliness, sunshine days, a healthy and safe community for families, and an authentic wonderland of recreational opportunities year round.

And the weather is cooperative. You would have to spend a winter here to believe the mild climate and the surprising spring-like weather that often comes in January and February.

Billings takes advantage of the outdoor action. You can tell a lot by what is on top of cars - rafts, skis, camping gear, bikes, canoes, trophy elk - or, what they are trailing - snowmobiles, horses, sailboats, speed boats - and the golf clubs are in the trunk.

Montanans have the luxury of being able to vacation in the same state where they live and work, even in the winter.

Three of the five entrances to Yellowstone Park are in Montana. The most spectacular, the Beartooth Highway, is close to Billings and offers some of the world's most breathtaking scenery at every turn.

The most beautiful road in America is U.S. 212 which leaves Red Lodge, climbs to the Beartooth Pass at 11,000 feet and drops down into the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park.

Hearst would have built his castle on the Red Lodge-to-Cooke City highway if he would have known about it.
