The MacDonald Pass Ski Trails are four connected cross-country ski trail loops near the Continental Divide providing opportunities for beginner and intermediate skiing. Three of the four loop trails are groomed by the Last Chance Nordic Ski Club. Snowmobiles prohibited; parking capacity for 25 vehicles near MacDonald Pass. Dogs are not permitted on the ski trails.

The length of this trail is 4.5 km of easiest, 17 km of more difficult and 5.6 km of most difficult trail; groomed. 5 km of groomed trail for skate skiing. The trail begins off Highway 12 and makes a loop. Map of the area is the Helena National Forest Visitor Map.

Directions: Travel west from Helena on Highway 12 approximately 14 miles to the parking area on the north side of Highway 12. Parking is provided just off of Highway 12, and the trail starts at the north end of the parking area.
