South Dickey Lake Day Use Area is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3,110 feet. This day use area is located adjacent to beautiful Dickey Lake, and only a few miles from North Dickey Lake Campground. The views of the lake and surrounding area are magnificent and the area offers numerous recreational opportunities. The lake is gorgeous and popular for all water sports. As it is close to Canada, it is visited frequently by our northern neighbors. Restrooms and drinking water are provided. There is no overnight camping at this site. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on leashes.

Directions: From Fortine, travel US Highway 93 south for 3.5 miles to the junction with Road 3785. Turn on this road, which leads to Trego, and follow for 3.5 miles to the South Dickey road. The day use area is 2 miles from this point.
