Hibernation House

Each guest staying with us is treated to a full hot breakfast in the winter, and an array of cold breakfast items in the summer months. The hot tub is located just off the main lobby area, the laundry facilities are easily accessed on the second floor. Our winter guests have the luxury of skiing right to the door of the hotel, where they can store their skis in the heated ski room. A ski run leading to the lifts is just a short walk down the driveway in front of the hotel.

During the warmer months; our guests have hiking trails, mountain bike trails, huckleberry picking, and lovely scenery just outside the building. A short stroll will lead guests to Walk in the Woods, thrill sleds, gondola rides, and a wide assortment of special events/activities offered in the resort village area. A handicapped room is available year round just off the lobby. Our setting is relaxing and well removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Directions: Hibernation House is located at the base of the Big Mountain Resort 8 miles north of Whitefish, Montana. We are 8 miles from the Amtrak depot and 19 miles from Glacier Park International Airport (FCA, Kalispell), set in a beautiful mountain environment at 4,700 feet.
