The trail crawls along a section of the Centennial Mountains from Monida to Red Rock Pass, passing through some of the most scenic country in southwest Montana. A scenic component of the National Trails System.

Directions: Trailhead may be best accessed at Red Rock Pass on the gravelled Red Rock Pass Road from Highway 20, south of Henry's Lake in Idaho.
