State Line Trail marks the western edge of the district. Almost all the trails on that side of the district intersect the State Line Trail. Most of them begin at the Clearwater Crossing.

Directions: From I-90. travel west from Missoula to Exit 66, Fish Creek Road. Travel south along Fish Creek Road approximately 14 miles to Surveyors Creek Road 7734. Turn west and continue approximately 12 miles to road closure gate. Follow primitive road to State Line Trail 738
