Slaughter River is a state recreation area located in northeast Montana on the Missouri River. At an elevation of 2,500 feet, the recreation area encompasses 42 acres. The site is not accessible by vehicle, but fishing and boating may be enjoyed at Slaughter River State Recreation Area. Tent camping is permitted here also. Pets are welcome. Please limit your stay to 14 days.

Directions: 14 miles southeast of Hole-in-the-Wall Landing on the Missouri River; boat access only.
