The Nature Conservancy's Pine Butte Guest Ranch, located along the majestic East Front of the Rockies, mixes the traditional guest ranch with on-site nature study for a relaxing, educational vacation. Surrounded on all sides by protected wild lands, the ranch offers abundant opportunity for hiking with a skilled naturalist to view mountain goats, learn about grizzlies, or discover dinosaur bones. Directions: Pine Butte Guest Ranch is located on the South Fork Teton Road. 28 miles west of Choteau, Montana. Take US Highway 89 north out of Choteau approximately 5 miles, midway between mile posts 46 and 57, turn left onto paved Teton River Road. Follow the road west for 17 miles, take a left off the paved road onto a gravel road. Go approximately 0.3 mile and take a right, you will have crossed a bridge. Go 3 miles up this road, just before the next bridge veer left and you will be on the ranch driveway, continue up the driveway to the ranch buildings.
