The Barrister Bed & Breakfast offers intimate elegance in this 1874 Victorian three-story mansion, listed on the National Register of Historical Place. It is centrally located in Helena's historic district adjacent to the magnificent Saint Helena Cathedral. Enjoy more than 2,000 square feet of common area which features a parlor, formal dining room, den and TV room, library, office, and enclosed sun porch. The original home of Herman Gans features six ornate fireplaces, original stain glass windows, high ceilings, and carved staircases. The magnificent St. Helena Cathedral is directly across the street, so don't forget your camera!
The five guest bedrooms are spacious, and carefully decorated to provide an intimate atmosphere, as well as warmth and comfort. All rooms have private baths, color TV and queen size beds. A full breakfast for two is included which may be served in the dining room or sun porch. The back yard now has a spacious patio and waterfall.
The Barrister is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been featured in a number of national magazines. The Barrister was chosen as Montana's Victorian Bed & Breakfast in Victorian Decorating Ideas.
