Rocky Gorge Campground is located in Kootenai National Forest. This unit is located in a natural forest setting adjacent to 90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa, and along State Highway 37. This site features a camping/parking area that is surrounded by forest lands. Grassy islands divide the internal access roads and a paved road leads to the boat ramp. Visitors find this location appropriate for weekend getaways and fisherpersons enjoy the prime kokanee salmon fishery offered by the lake. There are 120 designated campsites with water and restrooms available. Fishing, swimming and boating may be enjoyed nearby. A boat launch is available. There are also scenic trails for hiking. The maximum recommended trail length for the area is 32 feet. The fee for the use of this campground is $9 a day. Your stay may not exceed 14 days.

Directions: From Rexford, travel 26 miles south on Montana Highway 37 to the campground sign.
