Mammoth Campground is located near the facinating and beautiful Mammoth Hot Springs terraces near Yellowstone's North Entrance at an elevation of 6,200 feet. This camping area is open year round. Restrooms and water are provided, and there are 85 designated campsites. Summer activities in the area include fishing, horseback riding, and hiking. Also available is a visitors center and campfire talks.

Pets are welcome but must be leashed. They are prohibited on trails in the backcountry and in hydro-thermal areas. Pets are not allowed more then 100 feet from a road or parking area. Leaving a pet unattended and/or tied to an object is prohibited.

The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 45 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days between June 15 and September 15 and 30 days the rest of the year. You will be required to pay a small daily fee for the use of this campground. Checkout time for all campgrounds is 10:00am.

Directions: Mammoth Campground is located near the mysterious, towering Mammoth Hot Springs thermal area near Yellowstone's North Entrance (0.5 mile north of Mammoth Junction).
