Visitors to the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center discover characters of the Lewis and Clark era - the early 1800s - in the shadows of the darkened exhibit hall in October. Guides with candle lanterns lead small groups through the hall. The one-hour guided tours are free, but reservations are required; call (406) 727-8733. Tours will begin every 15 minutes between 7 and 8 p.m. Each tour lasts an hour.

Directions: The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center can be reached by following the brown Interpretive Center / State Park signs in Great Falls. 1/4 mile from Giant Springs; 1.5 miles east of Black Eagle Dam.
