The second annual Wheat Festival in Big Sandy will feature, among many other things, an antique tractor pull, quilt show, pet and doll parade and the World's Largest Tractor, the 747 Big Bud owned by the Williams Brothers. Events planned for the day also include a photo contest, ag machinery display, writing contest and a chair auction which will feature chairs decorated by local artists. Refreshments will be available at the Senior Citizen's Center, as well as the four restaurants in town. There will be a Farmer's Market in the park and the Big Sandy Person of the Year will be announced.
Directions: Wheat Festival 2004 events will be held at the Big Sandy Community Hall, Paul Williams Memorial Park, Sports Complex and on Main Street. Signs will be up to direct people to various venues and you may call 378-2305 for additional information.
