Sierra Club Lewis and Clark Day |
This family event kicks off at 4:30 with a BBQ dinner at the Gates of the Mountains Marina. After dinner we will board the tour boat where we will learn more about Lewis and Clark's journey through the area. Stephanie Ambrose Tubbs will speak about the importance of connecting conservation with the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial and Captain William Clark will make a special appearance to tell us how much things have changed since his last adventure through the area almost 200 years ago. You will also learn about the Sierra Club's plan for a Wilderness addition to the Gates of the Mountains as well as other areas we are working to protect in Montana. Reservations required. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children and includes boat ride, dinner and presentations. Call Katie at 406-582-8365 ext. 3002.
