Come and attend the 37th Annual Marysville Picnic, which will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005. This event hosts fun for the entire family and includes various exhibitors, entertainment, vendors, arts and crafts, games and contests. Award winning cowboy poet, Bruce South with Lazy 'B' Bar 'S' Productions from Red Lodge will be performing, as well as Helena's own Queen City Belles, entertaining with their hilarious Wild West Show. Don't miss Dan Pate's infamous auction and all the raffle prizes waiting to be won. .

There will be an old fashioned baron of beef barbecue with all the trimmings, plus snack bars serving grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and beer. The candy store will open its doors and have your favorite sweets on hand along with ice cream and Italian sodas.

Visit the Shafer House Museum, where you can walk in and see how people lived at the turn of the century. The old school house, now serving as the community center, is loaded with artifacts and history of the once booming mining town.

Pan for gold right in the park!

The Marysville House Bar & Restaurant will open at 5:00pm and will feature live music at 7:00pm. Exhibitors and raffle sales start at 10:00am. Everyone welcome to church services at 11:00am in the Lady of Our Lord's Catholic Church. Barbecue starts at noon. Entertainment, games, auctions raffles and drawings to follow all afternoon.

Directions: 37th Annual Marysville Picnic will be held at the Marysville Community Center, in the heart of Marysville. From Helena, take I-15 north 8 miles, then exit 200 west on Highway 279 for 9 and 1/4 miles. Follow signs to Great Divide Ski Area, six miles up the road.
