On July 9, 2005 the Museum of the Rockies will host its fourth annual Wine Classic to help raise core operating support that helps the museum fulfill its mission. This gala midsummer's evening includes fine wines, delicious food, a fast-paced wine auction and live music.
under all the stars in the big sky. The number of guests at the Classic will be limited to 300. Tickets are $150 per person and attire is casual elegance. The party begins at 7:00 and all proceeds will benefit the museum.
A limited number of vintners and their representatives are being invited to pour a selection of their finest wines for Wine Classic guests at 20 tables. Approximately 100 wines will be chosen to be featured in the Grand Tasting. All wine selections are made by the museum's Wine Classic Committee, based on a rigorous taste test. Invited vintners will be offered a choice of home hospitality or other local accommodation. Sotheby's is providing a wine auctioneer, and items are being solicited for both live and silent auctions. Fine wine, dinners, tastings, tours, trips, wine related goods and services are all welcomed for inclusion. Commemorative bottles will be sold at auction.
Southwestern Montana's premiere restaurants and caterers are being invited to prepare food for the event. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be showcased and later in the evening, desserts will be offered.
Live music will fill the air from the time guests arrive, and will continue with dancing long into the evening.
Directions: Wine Classic will be held at the Museum of the Rockies grounds on the campus of Montana State University in Bozeman.
