The location of our Bed and Breakfast, the White House, is ideally located for tourists traveling between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. We are centered in southwestern MT, near Big Hole, Georgetown Lake, the Pintler Scenic Drive, and for golfers at Montana's #1 rated golf course, Old Works, located in Anaconda. The White House has a large living area with a wood-burning stove. The upstairs offers a bedroom that sleeps 2 to 4 guests with a private bath, ensuring complete privacy. The basement has a pool table for inside entertainment and a guest laundry. There are front and back porches where guests can sit and enjoy the wildlife. The 20 acres property has several aspen groves and a small spring. Mill Creek is nearby and we are less than 1/4 mile from the Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area.

Staying at the White House can be used as a rest stop or trail riding opportunity for people traveling with horses. Well-mannered dogs are also welcome here. There are 4 indoor stalls, two 5-acre pastures, and four 30 ft. pipe corrals for housing horses. There is ample room to park your horse trailer. Overnight camping is also available for those traveling with their horses. There are miles of beautiful mountain trails that surround this property and go throughout the Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area. For recreation we offer Nature Hikes, Geology Jeep Tours, camping, stargazing and horseback riding. Individualized nature tours in southwestern Montana can be arranged upon request.

For travelers that would like the opportunity to escape from it all and be at one with Mother Nature for a more extended stay we offer a beautiful log-cabin located 6 miles from Mill Creek Road on 42 acres of pristine pine forest. The drive up to this beautiful cabin takes 45 minutes and you climb high above Mill Creek to an elevation of 7000 ft. This is an earth-friendly cabin. The cabin has a small living-dining room. It has a fully equipped kitchen so that you can prepare your own meals. The cabin has a bedroom that can sleep up to 3 persons (queen size bed and single bunk bed). The 3/4 loft provides another queen-size bed. The bathroom has a shower. The cabin also has a wood-burning stove to keep you warm when the mountain nights get cool. The cabin sits along a ridge that looks down on Mill Creek. There are spectacular views of Grassy Mountain and distant mountains that lie beyond Butte from the kitchen window, from the back porch, and from the dormer in the loft. There are two beautiful creeks that run through this property. There is a ravine to climb, beautiful views of Mill Creek to be experienced all along the ledge, and lots of places to hike to. Well-mannered dogs are welcome to enjoy the comforts of the cabin. We also have a kennel where dogs can be left day or night. For the horse lover, we have a corral with two adjoining 12 X 12 stalls. There are miles of roads on the mountain. These roads make excellent places to ride, as there is very little vehicle traffic. Tents and camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, air mattresses, etc.) are available for the visitor(s) who would enjoy a night sleeping under the stars.

Directions: Take Exit 208 off I-90 West (Anaconda Exit). Go west on Montana 1 towards Anaconda. Turn left at the sign to Wisdom onto Millcreek Road (just by the historic Anaconda Smelter Stack). After approximately 5 miles, turn right at the red house and garage. Cross the creek and follow the road straight. The road will curve to the right. Take the first right fork. The White House is the first house on your left.
