Philipsburg is emerging as a diverse artists colony. This 'prettiest painted place' in America is featured in the July 2003 issue of Sunset Magazine as a most desired tourist spot. Philipsburg is nestled in sage-colored hills against the spectacular backdrop of snow-covered mountains. Surrounded by picturesque lakes and rivers, this nineteenth century community is home to an entire array of outdoor activities. It is located 78 miles from Missoula, 52 miles from Butte and it is a two hour drive from Helena. Philipsburg is located along the Pintlar Scenic Drive on Montana's Highway 1.

Philipsburg's Flint Creek Valley Art Council Fundraiser will be Saturday, July 30th (Saturday night of Flint Creek Valley Days).
