The brewing of quality beer in Red Lodge dates back to 1910, when Fred Lehrkind opened the original Red Lodge Brewery in a fine brick structure which still stands at 904 North Brenner. Being a successful brewer from Bozeman, Fred was looking for a spot with more naturally pure water to launch a new beer-brewing venture. He found the perfect water he was seeking in Red Lodge.
