Coyote Calling Contest, sponsored by the Baker Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, will be held to lessen the number of coyotes prior to lambing and calving and to provide some fun for area hunters in the process. A $500 added purse will be donated by the Baker Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber will also pay a $100 prize for the largest and smallest coyotes. No monetary gain will be realized by the Chamber, but it wishes to support this venture on behalf of the livestock producers in the area. All entry fees will be jack-potted. Four places will be paid to the teams with the most coyotes. Teams will consist of two members with one vehicle. Coyote calling will only be allowed on land where permission has been given and permission slips have been signed. Hunters are welcome from outside the area, but to be eligible for the contest, coyotes must be harvested in Fallon County. No alcohol will be permitted and the use of aircraft is prohibited. The Baker Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture reserves the right to disqualify any teams it believes may have broken any laws or rules related to this hunt. All animals must be taken in the prescribed time limits and with a forearm. After check in is complete, there will be a free chili fed at the Fallon County Exhibit Hall sponsored by the Baker Chamber and prepared by the Fallon Creek CattleWomen. | ||||||
