Rainbow Sporting Goods

Anaconda Montana

Listing Type: Sporting Goods Store
City: Anaconda Montana
Region: Southwest Montana
406-563-5080

The building housing Rainbow Sporting Goods has been in this location since the 1800s. Before Rainbow Sporting Goods was established in 1974 the building housed a shoe shop. The original front of the building remained for a good number of years until new windows and siding were installed for weatherizing purposes. This business is small and has limited space, but a good variety of merchandise is carried for fishing, hunting, camping, and archery. We carry Bucks Bags Float Tubes, Bucks Bags Pontoon Boats, and the accessories. We sell live bait and licenses for fishing and hunting. We accept major credit cards.

The unique thing about our business is our flies. We are known as the place with the best flies around. They are Made-In-Montana, so to speak, because they are tied right here in the business by the owner. You can find the most popular flies for the most popular area. Many of the flies used in the surrounding area that we sell cannot be found elsewhere.

Directions: Rainbow Sporting Goods is located off Highway 1 which runs right through Anaconda. When entering from the east end of town you will be on a street called Commercial Avenue, proceed and stay in the left hand lane to Birch Street, make a left turn, when you reach the corner you will see our store on the right hand side of Park Avenue. When entering from the west end of town, proceed straight down Park Avenue until the 600 block, we are on the right hand side of the street, second building from the corner. We have a sign extending out from the building with a rainbow Trout on it.
