Ski Golf Tournament |
For golf and ski enthusiasts, early April is usually the time of year in Whitefish that both worlds collide. In celebration of spring snow in the mountains and sunshine in the valley, Big Mountain and Northern Pines Golf Club host the Ski Golf Tournament. The event is also held in memory of Jon Bos who owned and operated the Hellroaring Saloon on Big Mountain.
Teams must be comprised of four individuals. Each racer will take two runs on the NASTAR course at Big Mountain, taking their best time of two. No downhill suits are allowed. Teams will then move onto Northern Pines to the south of Whitefish where a best-ball, nine-hole scramble will ensue. Results from combined skiing and golf will determine an overall team winner, with second and third place prizes as well.
Ski Golf Tournament: Ski race in the morning and golf in the afternoon is a good time for everyone.
Directions: Ski Golf Tournament will be held at Big Mountain Resort, which is located 36 miles west of Glacier National Park, 23 miles from Kalispell and 8 miles north of Whitefish, Montana off North/South Highway U.S. 93 and East/West U.S. Highway 2.
