A trip to the Bitterroot Valley of southwestern Montana is not complete without visiting Painted Rocks Winery. We proudly produce award winning honey wines in the scenic, pristine upper West Fork of the Bitterroot River. Located 45 minutes from Darby, the drive up the West Fork boasts clear water, towering mountains, Painted Rocks Lake, campgrounds, wildlife gallore, and scenery that can slow the progress of your trip! Plan ahead and pack a lunch because you will want to make a day of it! At the winery we will show you our modest facility, let you sample our current wines and give you tastes of what is to come. For the real adventurers, we will direct you to the Horse Creek Hot Springs to make your West Fork day trip complete. Directions: Painted Rocks Winery is located South of Painted Rocks Lake on West Fork Road. From Darby, drive south on Highway 93 about three miles to West Fork Road (Highway 473), then 25 miles to Painted Rocks Lake. From the top of the lake, drive five miles. We are located at the bridge. Please call ahead.
