Confederate Recreation Area located in southwest Montana on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. There is a campground with basic facilities but no drinking water. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the reservoir. There is a boat launch for carry-in launching only.

Directions: Confederate Recreation Area is located 2 miles east of Townsend on US Highway 12, at milepost 2 go 18 miles north on Secondary Road 284.
