We offer three, one-day float trips, on the Missouri River. These one-day float trips are a great way to experience the river and yet sleep in a bed at night and we would also be happy to help arrange your lodging.

C. M. Russell on the Missouri:

We offer a one-day float from Judith Landing to Stafford/McClelland Ferry. This is a 12-mile float on the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. This float will take you on a less crowded section of the river, with some of the wildest and most beautiful country in the West. This float is filled with a variety of scenery, from fantastic views of forested coulees, broad mesas, deep river canyons, to river bottoms with legendary wildlife populations. The drive alone, through the river breaks, makes this a worthwhile trip and you can also get a ride on the Stafford Ferry. The trip starts at 9:00 AM, with a brunch at the Winifred Cafe. Winifred is located 38 miles north of Lewistown and is the southern door of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. We will leave for the river at 10:00 AM and should be off the river about 5:00 P.M. At the end of the float we will provide dinner at the Winifred Cafe. The price of this trip is $75 for adults & $50 for children under 12, based on four passengers. This includes brunch, dinner and a shuttle.

C. M. Russell Wild Life Refuge:

We offer a one-day float on the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge from James Kipp Camp ground to Rock Creek. This is a 12-mile float on the Refuge's Upper Missouri River. This float will take you on some of the best wildlife habitat on the refuge and is filled with a variety of scenery, from fantastic views of forested coulees, to the badlands the breaks are famous for. The legendary wildlife populations on the refuge include 236 species of birds, black-footed ferrets & black-tailed prairie dogs. We also float by the Sipery Ann Elk Refuge, known for it's fantastic elk viewing. You will see homesteads and learn about the history of the area in a great environment. The drive alone, through the river breaks, makes this a worthwhile trip. The trip starts at 9:00 AM, with a brunch at the James Kipp Campground.
