STOKR - Scenic Tour of the Kootenai River |
STOKR (The Scenic Tour of the Kootenai River) is a 2-day bicycle tour that benefits Habitat for Humanity. Riders choose between a 45 mile or 98 mile ride for the first day. Day 2 is a 38 mile loop. All rides begin and end at the Chamber of Commerce in Libby.
As a fund raiser, the ride is widely embraced by community volunteers who provide sag support and man the unique food stops. All the food - pies, cookies, soup and sandwiches - are provide by volunteer groups. Local businesses donate the fruit and drinks. It's a feast on wheels through scenic and remote countryside with very little traffic.
