The Bozeman Trail Project/2000 is the first Special Project facilitated by the multi-state Frontier Heritage Alliance, whose mission it is to address historical and cultural heritage themes that transcend county and state lines. Our goal is to facilitate the preservation, protection, interpretation, development, and promotion of our historical and cultural resources. We provide a 501 (c) (3) 'umbrella' for others wishing to sponsor projects which meet our criteria. Primarily our role is to facilitate communications, coordination, and cooperation between all entities involved. Entities involved. Entities involved can (and usually do) include non-profit support organizations; local, state, and federal governmental agencies; historical societies; private businesses; Chambers of Commerce and other tourist-related entities; Indian tribes and cultural committees; educational institutions; and private individuals. We are governed by a distinguished and knowledgeable board of directors representing the sates of Montana, Wyoming, North and Dakota and Nebraska. We are a non-profit 501 ' (3) organization and at this time have no paid staff.
