Bozeman Fish Technology Center - Kids Fishing Derby |  More Images |
As part of National Fishing Week 2005 Activities, the Bozeman Fish Technology Center will sponsor the 15th Annual Bozeman FTC Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday June 5, 2004. The Derby is for kids aged 6 years old and under, and will be held at the small display pond located on Bozeman FTC grounds. The pond will contain an ample supply of hungry rainbow trout, and each child will be allowed to catch (and keep!) two rainbow trout. The Derby also features 'Mr. Big' and other big fish awards, a number of tagged fish that when caught become 'instant prize winners', Fishing Certificates, a weigh-in station, a BIG FISH Board, fish cleaning services including ice and ziploc bags, and free ice cream and cookies for the kids. In addition, each family, group, or child will be provided with a Polaroid picture of their 'catch' so they can show it off as soon as they return home. A local Boy Scout Troop will also be on-hand to provide refreshments at a nominal cost.
Directions: The Kids Fishing Derby will be held at the Bozeman Fish Technology Center pond. Highway 86, 4 miles NE of Bozeman watch for US Fish and Wildlife Service signs.
