Elkhorn Mountain Endurance Run |
In 1989, the first running of the Elkhorn Mountain Endurance Run took place on the Elkhorn Mountain trails just south of Montana City, Montana. The original race included a 100K (62.2 mile) trail race through the Elkhorn Mountains. The Elkhorn Mountain Endurance Run is now a 50 mile trail run
In 1997, a series of Running Camps were added to the Elkhorn Mountain Endurance Run activities and in 2000, week long Fitness Retreats were offered.
The race is a fund raiser for the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
Directions: The Elkhorn Mountain Endurance runs begin at The Legal Tender, 10 miles south of Helena in Clancy, MT.
