O'Brien Creek Farm is an original homestead beautifully nestled in the wild mountains of Northwest Montana in the heart of the Kootenai National Forest. We are an isolated setting six miles from Troy, surrounded by thousands of acres of rugged, forested mountains.

We have a string of top-notch mountain horses that we ride to the very summit of some of the most awesome peaks in the area. Some of the trails are steep and demanding, while others are gentle and suited to a novice rider.

We offer breakfast rides to the shores of Alvord Lake where we have a cowboy campfire breakfast of hot cakes, bacon, eggs, coffee, and juice. Also available are evening rides for a sundown cookout including a cowboy steak, pinto beans, cornbread, and dutch oven cobbler.

We can do all-day rides into the mountains with a sack lunch or overnight rides to a high country camp where you can sleep under the stars.

We have a tent camp right here on O'Brien Creek with cowboy campfire cookouts from May to November.

We also offer guided trail rides by the hour so you can ride as long as you like.

We are fully insured and operate under license from USDA Kootenai National Forest.
