Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa offers the quintessential Montana experience. Established in 1900 and currently on the National Historic Register, Chico is a year-round destination resort. Our winters are filled with cross-country skiing, wilderness dog sled treks, trips to nearby Yellowstone National Park and, of course, soaking in our natural mineral hot springs, plus much more!

Facilities:.Western comfort and hospitality abound at Chico. Accommodations range from our historic main lodge to private cabins, chalets and large log homes. The property also boasts 152 pristine acres, two restaurants, meeting facilities, two mineral hot pools, a unique gift shop, activity center and a Western saloon.

something for everyone.

Dining:.Chico has long been known for its landmark dining room. Creative continental cuisine is served in a comfortable atmosphere of casual elegance. The seafood is fresh, the steaks are large and the wine list is extensive. For more casual fare, the Poolside Grille serves salads, large sandwiches, burgers, excellent ribs and pizza. The Saloon offers a limited menu featuring overwhelming portions of barbecue ribs and chicken, and is known for its large selection of beer and ""Paradise Margaritas.""

Absaroka Dog Sled Treks:.Drawn by a team of 6-10 Siberian Huskies, experience mushing your own team of Siberian Huskies on a snow-covered trail running alongside a pristine mountain stream! Here's your opportunity to enjoy the adventure of a lifetime. Bundle up the kids and hop on a sled driven by you and accompanied by a well-qualified, experienced musher. Have a romantic getaway as you explore the Gallatin Forest of the Absaroka Mountains in gorgeous Mill Creek Canyon. Go for a two-hour trek or stop and savor the moment while enjoying a picnic lunch on the half-day trek. Or take it all in and try the full-day trek, offering steak and trout grilled to perfection. Treks leave daily Thanksgiving through March 31st from Chico Hot Springs. Owned and operated by Mark and Sharon Nardin, PO Box 134, Pray, MT 59065. Call 406-222-4645 or 406-333-4933 for reservations. Cross-Country Skiing:.Our location offers you an ideal home base regardless of your skiing level or desires. Ski rentals available on the premises. There are many additional skiing options only minutes away. Ski nearby in beautiful Mill Creek or Yellowstone Park where wildlife and amazing natural wonders await you. There's nothing in the world like skiing past grazing elk in sheer silence or watching a geyser go off with Wyoming winter skies as a backdrop. This is all part of the Chico experience. The real Chico experience, however, is putting your skis away or saying good-bye to your musher and stepping into the natural hot springs under the stars of a crisp Montana night!

Reservations:.We are rapidly becoming a popular spot, which makes reservations for lodging a must. Weekends fill quickly so reservations are highly suggested to secure your choice of dates and accommodations.
